From: Philippine Nurses Association of UK
Dear Friends,
The British Broadcasting Company United Kingdom (BBC UK) recently aired a comedy series which directly insulted the Filipino people with its tactless and insensitive behaviour through its disgusting gutter humour.
We have now started an online petition to show the broadcast industry that such behaviours will not go unnoticed and unchallenged.
We now encourage you to read more about the Dignity and Respect for the Filipino Worker Campaign and sign the petition so that collectively we can let them know about our reactions to the series.
The campaign petition can be accessed here http://www.gopetiti on.com/petitions /dignity- and-respect- for-the-filipino -worker.html including the offending video clip.
We also encourage you to pass this message to friends and other kababayans who might wish to support the petition.
Together we have a voice, and through our small voice we can show the world how to respect others and regulate our own actions.
Best regards,
Michael Duque
